Sometimes we are all creatures of habit. Especially comparing ourselves with others. We are our own individuals. We all compare ourselves to other people, but why? Is there any benefit to seeing how we stack up against others, and if there isn't, how can we stop doing that? See, for myself, I have a habit of comparing myself to my sister. Even though we are two different individuals, but twins, I wish I am able to do things as she can. She can hang out with her friends. She can party with her friends. She can have sleepovers with her friends. She can drink with her friends. She can drive like her friends. I have one true friend that I can talk to that remained true to this day for many years that remained unchanged until this day. They say all you need is a friend and family.
I struggle as well as others struggle sometimes to demonstrate the difference between supporting each other and comparing ourselves. I recently started embracing the famous saying " We are all created equal", but we are all unique in our own ways. We can love and accept each other for those differences so we can create something more powerful and beautiful together. I try to be myself in this world that constantly makes you something that you are not. Once you do that, that is a great accomplishment.
Sometimes I forget that I don't have to do what everyone else is doing but it's hard at times.
I try to make the most of it and I also try to live my life to the fullest.
